Most Asked Questions

You can sign up for GoPayz Service online by:

  1. downloading the GoPayz App directly from the Google Play Store, Apple App Store or the Huawei’s AppGallery, for free; or
  2. visiting GoPayz website at www.gopayz.com.my

Malaysian residents and foreigners who work or reside in Malaysia are welcome to apply for GoPayz Service as long as they are 18 years old and above. For foreigners, they will be required to provide details of their residential address in Malaysia.

You will be charged based on the table of fee provided under question 3 above. Cash withdrawals can be made using physical GoPayz Card at ATMs that accept Card Schemes cards such as Visa, Mastercard or UnionPay.

Please note that certain ATM may impose additional fees in addition to the fees specified above.

To sign up for GoPayz Service you must first sign up for the Basic Wallet Account. Just fill in your personal information required via GoPayz App or GoPayz Website to sign up for the GoPayz Service.

Once your Basic Wallet Account has been set up, you can upgrade your Basic Wallet Account to Premium Wallet Account by:

  1. telling us more about yourself by filling up the “know your customer” (KYC) form; and
  2. snap a photo of or upload a scanned copy of your MyKad (for Malaysians) or your MyPR (for Malaysian Permanent Residents) or Passport (for foreigners).

You will not be charged for signing up for GoPayz Service or for your GoPayz Account.

For Premium Wallet Account, you have the option to apply for a physical GoPayz Card by remitting a fee of RM16.00 upon your application of the physical GoPayz Card.

3 Card Replacement Fee

Card replacement fee = RM16.00 per card

Only applicable for those who opt in for physical GoPayz Card to be issued, and the card replacement request is initiated by customer due to lost, stolen or damaged physical GoPayz Card or disclosure of the physical GoPayz Card’s information to a third party

Upon our receipt of your request to replace the physical GoPayz Card.

7 Overseas and Foreign Merchant Transaction Conversion Fee All Overseas and Foreign Merchant Transactions including online transactions shall be converted to Ringgit Malaysia at the prevailing conversion rate on the day of conversion and include the charges as determined by Card Schemes and a service fee of 1%. 8 Refund Handling Fee

For clarity, refund happens when your GoPayz Account is terminated, you perform reload exceeding your GoPayz Account limit or a transaction is cancelled.

Enquiry made via GoPayz App / GoPayz Website are free of charge.

How can we help you?

(i) Perlindungan Tenang Voucher Programme (PTV) is a financial assistance scheme where a RM50 voucher is allocated for eligible Bantuan Prihatin Rakyat (BPR) recipients to help them purchase Perlindungan Tenang products from licensed insurers and takaful operators.

(ii) Perlindungan Tenang Voucher Programme is an initiative by the Government of Malaysia to expand the social protection for eligible BPR recipients in the country.

GoLife 10 is a Perlindungan Tenang product, underwritten by Sun Life Malaysia Assurance Berhad Registration No. 199001005930 (197499-U) (“SLMA”), an insurer licensed by Bank Negara Malaysia under the Financial Services Act 2013 and is promoted by U Mobile Services Sdn Bhd Registration No. 200401034375 (672884-H) (“U Mobile Services”) to its customers. GoPayz users who:

• have been confirmed as the recipients of BPR based on Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri’s latest record;

• are Malaysian citizens or Permanent Residents between the age 21-49 and

• in good health condition.

If you are an eligible recipient for this Programme, you will be entitled to 5 months insurance coverage of GoLife 10 with Perlindungan Tenang RM50 Voucher incentive.

Registration for this Programme will open from 30 September 2021 to 30 September 2022.

You must register GoLife 10 using your GoPayz account by

(i) selecting the “Life Insurance” tab under Financial Services tab;

(ii) selecting GoLife 10 and

(iii) keying in “PTV50” under Promo Code column and proceed to click the confirm button at the check-out page.

Only eligible BPR recipients who successfully registered GoLife 10 under Perlindungan Tenang Voucher Programme and upgraded to GoPayz Premium wallet will be entitled to receive RM5 cash reward. Crediting of RM5 cash reward into GoPayz account will take within 15 working days from the start date of GoLife 10 insurance coverage.

The premium for your GoLife 10 will be charged upon the completion of the 5 months insurance coverage. The premium will be charged from your GoPayz Account or registered debit/credit card on monthly basis for subsequent renewals. Your coverage will continue, on monthly basis with recurring payments unless you cancel your GoLife 10.

Yes, you may cancel your insurance plan within 15 days from the delivery date of the first e-certificate. The RM50 Perlindungan Tenang Voucher will be reinstated within 3 working days if you cancel the insurance plan during the free look period.

You must fill in the nomination form, which can be downloaded from SLMA’s Website. You must submit the completed nomination form manually to SLMA’s head office or online via SLMA’s Website. The claim form can be downloaded from SLMA’s Website. The completed claim form together with the required documents can be submitted manually to SLMA’s head office or online via SLMA’s Website.
